I like the darkness nowadays,
It is soothing and cool.
The light used to be my home once.
The light,
Illuminating,
Shining.
Then, glaring,
Blazing,
Blinding.
TVs,
Mobiles,
Laptops,
A never-ending glow,
A non-stop flow,
Of information,
Shining Light,
Highlight,
All-white,
Overpowering all colour,
All-white,
Piercing through my brain.
The colour of anger is not red,
It is all-white,
Light- piercing through everything,
Pure,
Clear,
Like acid.
I need some shade now,
Some grey,
My eyes yearn for some rest now,
Some sanity,
Away from the light,
From insanity.
Ignorance is bliss,
I am ready to slip,
In that bed of my self,
Wrapped in the bedsheet of darkness,
Before I have to wake up again.
